Alan Greene has been practicing law in the Dover area since 1979. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Alan went on to attend Suffolk Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate. Upon his graduation from law school Alan managed a taxi-cab business in Massachusetts for a number of years, Soon, however, the lure of New Hampshire caused he and his wife to relocate and he started his firm as a sole practitioner and his wife became employed as a teacher in state. Alan opened his law practice first in Somersworth, New Hampshire and, soon thereafter he put his shingle out in downtown Dover.
Alan initially engaged in the practice of criminal law but soon found that the area of domestic law allowed him to engage in one of the more fascinating areas of he practice. Also, legal issues regarding domestic matters often led to problems involving other areas of the law, which allowed a broad practice. Domestic law also afforded Alan the opportunity to appear in Court frequently.
More recently Alan has been semi-retired which has allowed his son, David, to assume most of the work involved in the practice. However, Alan has kept up his daily consultations with David which both attorneys “Greene” see as a real benefit to their clients.
